Frequently asked questions

How do I know what is recyclable?

Great question! The visual guides shown above are here to help you determine what is recyclable and what is not. If you have specific questions about an item, email us! No judgement here, we're happy to help. info@frontdoorrecycle.com

Why do I need to put plastic film in a separate bag?

Plastic film (like grocery bags and envelope mailers) is recycled differently than hard plastics. Separating it in your home makes it easier for us to get it to the right place.

What happens if I put something in the bin that isn't recyclable?

It's okay! Recycling can be confusing and we're here to help you learn along the way. When in doubt, throw it out, or find out! Email us when you have a question about an item: info@frontdoorrecycle.com

Do you weigh the recyclables?

Yes! We want to put a number to our efforts and celebrate how much we're keeping out of the landfill.

What makes Front Door Recycling different?

Front Door Recycling is focused on those who live in apartments and condos without curbside service. We know that you have limited living space, so we want to pick up your recyclables weekly to avoid clutter in your home.
